Wombourne Kayak Club
Saturday Night Safety Rules

Members are required to read and familiarise themselves with these rules which must be followed at all times. They are intended for the safety of all club members.

1. Members must declare any disability or medical condition which will render them unfit for strenuous exercise. Members must declare conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy and asthma.

2. Members must be able to swim 50m and complete a capsize drill.

3 .Members under the age of 16 (minors) must have an accompanying adult.

4. Members under the age of 16 (minors) are not allowed in the plant room.

5. Members must wear suitable footwear if entering the plant room.

6. No more than 20 paddlers in the pool at any one time.

7. Care must be taken when entering and exiting poolside with boats. Due respect must be given to other pool users.

8. Members under the age of 17 must wear helmets. Adult members are encouraged to wear helmets. Members who are coaching must wear helmets if standing in the water.

9. Members must be assessed using neoprene spray decks. Members under the age of 16 (minors) must be assessed with particular consideration.

10. No outdoor footwear to be worn on poolside.
